Crash Man issues an explicit warning to the furious citizens of New Crash City
“Was I ever not there, beside you, in the fire? Did I not wage my crown, my life, just as you? In the fire of war our glory was begotten— in the wreckage I weighed and measured the balance. In the fullness of time, our debts must be reckoned with. Those among us too craven to answer their father’s call, for instance, may one day regret their cowardice— their mutiny, rather (for let us call it what it is)— when the master returns to purge them entire!
I was foremost in the firefight and I won’t apologize.
I held fast in the face of oblivion— I won’t apologize.
I meant everything I did, everything I said, with everything I am and more.”
